Attom
Attom is a digital oracle app that blends AI with human intuition. Ask the universe a question and it will generate unique possibilities with a little help from generative AI. Then choose the number or color that catches your attention. Each option hides a different preassigned answer.
This project began in 2005 in VB6, naturally without AI, under the name Bola 8, as a digital version of the famous magic toy that displayed different answers when shaken.
In 2008 the project received an upgrade for the .NET platform and was renamed Attom, gaining a fully refreshed look closer to the current version, with magical circles containing predefined answers. Curiously, the new app name itself was chosen with the help of the program.
In 2025 the project was relaunched for the web using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Still faithful to the magical game, it now explores an intersection between AI, mysticism, and spirituality.
The experience invites reflection on how computational randomness and human intuition can combine to create meaningful experiences for believers or, at the very least, entertaining ones for everyone else.
By using the app, you agree to the Attom Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
